From 1 October 2007, the UCIHL will become the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights. For further information, please read the two releases below:

The University Centre of International Humanitarian Law (UCIHL), soon: Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights in Geneva, specialises in the fields of law related to armed conflicts and states of emergency.

The UCIHL was established by the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International Studies.

It is furthermore supported by the University of Lausanne, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
